The Great Vigil of Easter

We're headed to Christ Church in New Haven for our Easter Vigil this year.

Come experience a traditional Easter vigil with all the fixings: a paschal fire, some readings in the darkness, baptism, beautiful music and a blazing welcome to Easter and Christ's resurrection when the bells ring.

The vigil is the Episcopal version of a very ancient Orthodox tradition - the precursor of sunrise services.  It begins in the dark with a single candle lit from the paschal fire.  By the end the lights are ablaze and Easter has arrived.

If you'd like to ride with a carpool, contact Elsa.  Hope you can experience this dramatic and beautiful liturgy this year.
