Prayer Breakfast Group
This group was called the “Men’s Prayer Group”. Hungry men met at 7:00 a.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month. The group was founded by the late Bob Viscount in about 1996. The group is not only hungry for breakfast, but hungry for exploring the ways the many complicated and challenging issues in our world intersect with our lives of faith.
The group’s name has changed to welcome all people who hunger to come and feed their stomachs, minds, hearts, and souls!
Participants take turns providing the breakfast. We begin with prayer and then dig in to such earth shaking topics as yesterday’s ballgame scores, what the rascals in government are doing to us, and more often, dipping our toes in some of life's really big questions.
We welcome all members new and old. The only requirement is a healthy appetite. Our motto could be “Companionship is Latin for 'With Bread'”.
