About Father Rob:

Originally hailing from Ohio, The Rev. Dr. Robert P. Clements has been an Episcopal priest for over thirty years, serving in parishes in Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.  He is also an educator who has taught in many schools, particularly Hoosac School in New York, Rumsey Hall School in Connecticut, and Berkshire School in Massachusetts, where he was also assistant headmaster.  Dr. Clements received a master's degree from The General Theological Seminary and his doctoral degree from Princeton Theological Seminary.  He has lectured internationally, including through service as an adjunct professor of Christian Education and Spirituality at Hartford Seminary.

Spends time and Passions:

In addition to serving as a school chaplain, Dr. Clements has served as a fire department, hospital, and merchant marine chaplain.  Having once performed as a bassist in a New York-based new wave band, he continues his involvement in the musical community by working as a luthier, creating and restoring custom guitars.  He is also a surfer who is dedicated to increasing his list of water sports-related injuries. He edits a weblog entitled The Coracle, which tracks the realities of a post-Christian age. These diverse interests nurture and strengthen both his intellect and spirituality, as he is described by former parishes as "sagacious, challenging, creative and forward thinking".
