Christ Church is a community that has welcomed people in Bethany,
Woodbridge and surrounding towns for 200 years. We are connected
to God, to each other, and to a growing group of diverse people, excited
children and our communities, offering various ways to worship,
deepen your spirituality and find rest, healing and energy.
…We have room for faith and room for questions and doubts
…room to give and room to receive
…room to welcome children, elders,  families and individuals
and always room for one more.

 

 

Service Times

Sunday: 8AM - A traditional service of Holy Eucharist with very formal language
("Rite I,"), a sermon, but no music. Quiet and contemplative -- great for people whose spirituality craves stillness. Social hour is offered after the service.
10AM - This service is fairly traditional with sermon and hymns, using contemporary language ("Rite II,"), There are lots of children.There is church school for children during this service, and every week we offer a coffee hour following the service. Many families find it's a great way to wind down the week and be ready for the one to come.
5PM - This one is anything but conventional - there is lots of music, accompanied by a band; the sermons are often dramas, everybody plays rhythm instruments, and the joy is infectious. This service is often serious, but never dull. Potluck supper follows once a month on the first Sunday.

5:00 Planning

Christ Church is a community that loves to sing, and in a wide variety of musical styles.If your "heart music" is closer to what you hear on the radio, you'll like our 5 o'clock Sunday service. A band provides the music - rock 'n' roll, jazz, blue grass and gospel. With a strong center on the keyboard, parishioners (and clergy) fill in with various instruments and glorious vocal harmonies. The congregation keeps the beat going with rhythm instruments and the result is a joyful noise that lifts your heart and your spirits.If you play an instrument and would like to be a part of the worship, see Pam Sayre or Brian Fillmore.
