Knitting/Handwork Group

What began as a Lenten-only project in March 2008 to make prayer shawls is still going strong four years later.  We meet every Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in the Parish House library, knitting and crocheting prayer shawls, hats, scarves, and lap blankets. Our shawls and blankets are given to parishioners or friends in need of support during a difficult time, and also donated to an area hospital.  Hats and scarves are donated to homeless or needy families through N.E.O.N. of Naugatuck. Lately, people have been bringing their embroidery or other handwork projects along. There is always room in the circle for another set of busy hands.
